Famos F108TX-P heat sealer

The Famos F108TX-P PROTEC is a rotary heat sealer for packaging medical instruments before sterilisation. It seals sterilisation packaging using an automatic feed system. It is microprocessor-controlled, with digital temperature setting and information shown on an LCD screen. It is designed in particular for hospital sterilisation departments and healthcare facilities.

The F108TX-P stands out for its seal parameter control system, which monitors temperature, transport speed and pressure. If the set limits are exceeded, the system alerts the operator and stops the sealing process. It also has a seal counter with audible alarm, a transport reverse function and a lock that prevents sealing when the difference between the measured temperature and the set point reaches 5 °C.

The F108TX-P has USB and RS232 ports for data exchange and communication with external parameter-monitoring software, among other uses. An Ethernet interface is available as an option. The model comes in a ribbed-seal version for paper pouches and paper/plastic laminate pouches, and a flat-seal version suited in particular to Tyvek packaging. It measures 438 × 289 × 137 mm and has a stainless steel housing.
