Nihon Kohden BSM-2351K patient monitor

The Nihon Kohden Life Scope L BSM-2351K is a bedside patient monitor for continuous monitoring of vital signs in hospital settings. It monitors ECG, respiration, oxygen saturation (SpO₂), non-invasive blood pressure and temperature. Its 10.4-inch colour touch screen displays up to five waveforms at once, making the patient's parameters easy to review.

The BSM-2351K features a MULTI connector that automatically recognises the type of sensor connected. Depending on the sensors used, it can monitor invasive blood pressure or CO₂, among other parameters. PWTT (Pulse Wave Transit Time) technology can trigger a non-invasive blood pressure measurement when a change in pulse wave transit time is detected. The monitor also offers an OCRG display suited to neonatal cardiorespiratory monitoring.

The system stores up to 24 hours of graphic trends, 120 sets of vital signs and 200 alarm events. It also provides arrhythmia analysis and customisable function keys. It can be integrated into a Nihon Kohden monitoring network via LS-NET with an optional Ethernet card. Further options allow telemetry transmission, connection to an HL7 gateway, anaesthetic gas monitoring or BIS monitoring.
