GE E-PSM-01 multiparameter module

The GE Datex-Ohmeda E-PSM-01 is a plug-in multiparameter module for haemodynamic monitoring of hospitalised patients. It combines several physiological measurements in a single patient monitoring module: electrocardiogram (ECG), non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP), pulse oxygen saturation (SpO₂), impedance respiration and temperature. Its modular design allows it to be used with compatible GE Datex-Ohmeda patient monitors, subject to system configuration.

The E-PSM-01 module acquires ECG signals and supports ST segment monitoring and arrhythmia analysis, in conjunction with the host monitor's functions. It also measures respiratory rate by thoracic impedance. Non-invasive blood pressure can be measured manually or automatically. Two temperature channels allow two measurement sites to be monitored simultaneously.

The E-PSM-01 belongs to the GE Datex-Ohmeda Patient Side Module family. It differs from the E-PSMP in that it has no invasive blood pressure channels. Its single-width plug-in format makes it easy to integrate into compatible modular monitoring systems. The module measures approximately 51 × 132 × 140 mm and weighs 0.6 kg. Actual compatibility must be checked against the model and software version of the monitor in use.
