GE OEC Fluorostar C-arm

The GE OEC Fluorostar is a mobile C-arm fluoroscopy system for X-ray imaging during surgical and interventional procedures. Applications include orthopaedics, urology, endoscopy and vascular procedures. Its compact design makes it easy to position in the procedure room. The system combines an image intensifier, a high-resolution CCD camera and digital image processing at 1024 × 1024 pixels.

The GE OEC Fluorostar offers several fluoroscopy modes, including continuous, pulsed and half-dose acquisition. Pulsed fluoroscopy can be set from 1 to 8 pulses per second. The system also has a collimation preview function, so the shutters and iris diaphragm can be positioned without X-ray exposure. Touch-screen controls on both sides of the C-arm give access to acquisition settings and image processing.

The OEC Fluorostar family comes in several display configurations: one or two 19-inch monitors mounted on the C-arm, or a separate monitor cart. The system supports DICOM image exchange and export to USB or CD/DVD media. Depending on the configuration, add-on modules provide cine acquisition and vascular imaging functions such as digital subtraction and roadmapping.
