The Optomic OP-C12 is a stereoscopic microscope intended for examinations and therapeutic procedures in otorhinolaryngology. The manufacturer’s documentation notably cites its use for diagnosing otitis externa and otitis media, examining tympanic membrane perforations, cleaning cerumen, aspirating secretions, removing foreign bodies, certain intratympanic injections and small biopsies.

In its standard configuration, the microscope is equipped with a wide-field straight binocular tube, 12.5x eyepieces and a 200 mm objective lens. Its Galileo changer offers three positions (0.4x, 0.6x and 1x). Depending on the combination of optical elements, OPTOMIC states an overall magnification range of 2.0x to 17.0x. Eyepieces of 10x and 16x, as well as objective lenses of 250, 300 and 400 mm, are available as options.

The LED illumination is transmitted via optical fibre, and the Soft Move mechanical system combines articulated movements with progressive braking. The OP-C12 can be installed on the floor, wall or ceiling. For clinical documentation, it also accepts beam splitters and video microscopy solutions, including the OP-TV 10HD system and the optional Digitally Soft software.
